Project Overview

The Children’s Museum of Jordan (CMJ) wanted to offer a more engaging way for families, students, and educators to explore their exhibits—especially online. We partnered with them to create an immersive 3D virtual tour of the museum, turning passive website visits into interactive experiences. The result? A 32% increase in user retention and deeper engagement across age groups.

The Challenge

The Children’s Museum of Jordan sought to offer an engaging digital extension of their on-site experience. While the existing website provided essential content, it didn’t offer the kind of interactive discovery that defines a visit to the museum. The challenge was to create a virtual experience that could capture the museum’s educational spirit and invite users to explore in a more immersive, memorable way.

From Static Pages to an Interactive Playground

Before this project, CMJ’s digital experience didn’t reflect the wonder of its physical exhibits. We helped reimagine that journey by embedding a rich, guided 3D tour of the entire space. Visitors could now walk through the museum online, peek into rooms, zoom into exhibits, and explore freely—just like in person.

What We Built

Immersive 3D Tour Integration: Embedded a full Matterport-powered walkthrough of the museum, accessible from any device

Interactive Touchpoints: Enhanced the tour with clickable hotspots for featured exhibits, guiding users through key learning zones

Custom Navigation Layer: Added visual cues and navigation aids so children and parents could explore easily and intuitively

Performance Optimization: Ensured smooth loading, responsive behavior, and accessibility across desktop and mobile

Analytics-Ready Setup: Connected the experience to analytics tools to measure dwell time, click-through behavior, and drop-off points
